Link sashimi
June 1st, 2005
Lara is once again in the Far East and out of deference to her, I’m
serving up links of a decidedly oriental flavour:
- Actually, maybe food was a bad metaphor for my intro considering
my first link is to a somewhat unappetising toilet
bowl restaurant in Taipei. Lara travels there next week and said
she’d try to check it out. Photos may follow… - Extremely cute (but pricey) Bathing
Ape children’s clothes, especially those orange and white trainers. ¥1000
= roughly £5. - It’s not quite origami but this paper
Air Force 1 kit will keep the budding sneaker head busy in the
school holiday. - Next time you’re having a Lost in Translation moment distract yourself
with a hotel-room hunt for secret
wall tattoos. Or create one yourself. - Indispensible for Blade Runner style city breaks, Super
Future Cities has maps and info for urban adventurers. Detailed
with all the boutiques and cool places to eat, I’m surprised they
don’t have an icon just for Manolos. Spot Lara’s hotel, the Cerulean
Towers on this map
of Shibuya. Am I sounding jealous yet? - I’ll have to settle for closer to home. Wagamama turned us away for
the second time on Sunday night ("kitchen malfunction") so
instead we ate at the excellent Moshi
Moshi. Highly recommended.
