Sunday evening we witnessed a moment of pure television magic: Peter Crouch at the Beckham’s Full Length and Fabulous party, fleetingly shown doing ‘the robot’ on the dancefloor. It was on for a couple of seconds at most, but already the ripples are spreading across the internet. This is a meme that cannot die. Expect to read more.
22:30 update!. Crouchie celebrated with more robotics after netting superbly against Hungary in tonight’s friendly. Does not compute! The squad had obviously been taking the piss, so the lanky striker turned on the android style in a display of self deprecating humour that warms my diodes.
