Update
January 5th, 2005
The holiday break would seem to be the perfect opportunity to spruce up the site a bit, take some time to write a few notes and generally perk up my work-rate on robotperson. Ah, if only. When your brain craves only high fat / high sugar / sofa based passive activities it simply cannot be argued with.
So… apologies once again, dear reader. Lack of fresh content must surely by now have eroded any regular patronage I may have once had, so I award you a special star if you’re still with me.
By way of excuse, pre-Xmas was particularly busy this year. The statutory parental visit to Yorkshire was followed by a stint in Amsterdam (doing a very interesting Information Architecture job for Philips), whilst a number of simultaneous freelance jobs vied for computer time. Quite honestly, a bit of personal dev work on the PC was the last thing I felt like doing once everything else was done.
The pay-off for all this toil was our first Xmas in our own place. We hosted a wonderful all-the-trimmings turkey dinner for the in-laws (hats off to Mrs. robotperson) and then fended off the stupor with a bracing walk on the Beach – which was just so timed to gift us a wonderful view of the end-of-afternoon-yellow sun dipping into the sea below the purple clouds.
Right. New years resolutions for robotperson:
- shorter articles
- more frequent updating
- sort out some proper blogging software
- less of the "I’ll just have a quick game of Every Extend before I start some work"
- Get Paula to do a guest column
P.S. Many congrats to Rachel and Dave. What a wonderful wedding in a
lovely venue. We had a great time
