Renovations

This week has seen some fairly intense work on the site. It might not seem too different, and there’s certainly not much extra content to read, but from an architectural point of view there’s been some significant tectonic activity.
The re-shuffle was triggered by the imminent arrival of Sweet Poison, Stefan’s anticipated new column on wine (due next week). There was no obvious place in the site to put it, so a features section (which could also conveniently accommodate Cassie’s Celeb Spots) seemed like a sensible move.
Subsection navigation was then the problem. I’d never been happy with the old links on the right, so a bit of prototyping in Fireworks led to the simple solution you can see on the Features page.
A few other minor changes (like the addition of ‘you are here’ breadcrumbs) and some spring cleaning later, and I’m back to being happy with the site.
The organic growth of Robotperson continues!
